art is a very very subjective matter. it means different for different people.
It's like if I ask you: "do you like Picasso's Cubism style of art?"
for me: I don't think so. I'm not into abstract-cubism. I cannot comprehend the meaning behind it. I prefer Impressionism style.
but some people would find his cubism style enlightening.
or: "do you like Jazz??"
me: kinda, but I prefer blues and swing rather than pure jazz.

so (shrugs), I believe that no one can say one is a better artist from the other. or one form of art is better then the other.

about the skill, for me, you can become a better artist after a lots of fall, trial, and errors.
Through time, one can make a better person of himself. and so does skills. but it doesn't mean one can mock others or say the other person's skill is bad.
it's simply who pour more dedication in his creation and mind.
no matter who starts first, the one who'll flourish is the one who want to learn, striving for the best.
Nothing is perfect in this world, but excellence is within reach
if you try again from your mistakes.

anyone can be and is an artist. whether they show it is their choice. music, cartooning, fine art, clay, fashion, any of these. life is art and those discouraged should always know there is always a way if you use your voice!

Being an artist is as simple as using a form of art to express yourself - be it painting or drawing or writing or singing or performing or sticking pictures they've taken on the walls of a public restroom. If you are sharing something of yourself in whatever medium, that is art.

I think anyone can be an artist with any form they choose to use. Like making food, painting, sculpting, engineering, writing, architecture, and SO MUCH MORE. It's all art in its own way
