Huh, serves me right growing up in the 90s (ok 6 years)...-sigh-
I just watched V for Vendetta and OMG. The three things I care about the most were AMAZING
*cough* the last airbender *cough cough* new moon *cough gag*
if the ending fails to support what happens in the first half movie, i get super pissed off at the whole thing. because then i feel like i just wasted several hours of my life.
i've been to a few movies where like the earth blew up at the end or... like some random deus ex machina pops in to bring people back from the dead. it doesn't matter if it's happy or sad, if it's not properly set up then it can really annoy me.
the knowing movie killed off the entire planet at the end. but they kept leading you on- making you think mr. cage was going to figure out a way to save the day. the fact that they failed miserably made me super pissed off. and sure, it was touching that he "found god" or what not i guess. and he was all happy to go off and die because he son was gonna become the next adam for a bunch of jackass aliens. i guess it was a good ending if you like that sort of thing.
i was just pissed off that the aliens had this big ass ship and they couldn't afford to take one extra person with them. stupid dumbass flashlight mouth aliens.
sorry... the knowing has a tendency to bring out the worse in me. i was very upset with that movie. i left the movie theater feeling like i needed to punch something. like my friends for dragging me to the stupid thing.
if your character is going to come back from the dead, i demand foreshadowing! at least give me a lame prophecy. no random resurrections via pokemon tears! (though i admit i liked the first pokemon movie. noooooo idea why. maybe because i was 12.)
